Hello everyone, this is Zeaid Hasan (I go by Z) and I am running for House District 16. I have lived in Utah for the past 4 years and fell in love with this state and its people and everything it has to offer. I want to ensure we keep our communities safe and prosperous which is my main motivation for running for office.
Professionally, I’ve been working in the field of aerospace design, materials, analysis, and manufacturing for the past 15 years on some of the most complex problems around. I hold a PhD in aerospace engineering and hold many other graduate degrees including applied mathematics, business and mechanical engineering. I have been an adjunct faculty teaching at many colleges and universities across the nation for the past 10 years teaching both math and engineering courses. I also serve as an officer in the Air Force Reserve. I want to leverage my experience in helping our community solve its most challenging issues and keep us thriving.
